Former Apple Engineers Created a Smart License Plate Frame

Three former Apple engineers yesterday presented their new company Pearl. The company works in the segment of car accessories and its first product is a frame with built-in cameras RearVision.

You can install it within several minutes; the set includes a frame, a special magnetic holder for your smartphone and OBD-port adapter providing connection with different information systems.

All device functions turn it into a rear camera streaming the view to any smartphone in the cabin (since 2018 a rearview camera is compulsory for all new cars on sale in USA due to its security advantages). It also can work as a parktronic system, warning about approaching obstacles while backing run. The camera works on built-in solar panels, so it can work without any break.
